Culturally Sensitive Case Worker Role

This is a unique opportunity to join our team as a Culturally Sensitive Case Worker, working with individuals impacted by intimate partner violence in remote WA.

About the Role:

  • As a culturally sensitive case worker, you will be responsible for delivering trauma-informed case management and goal-setting to clients.
  • You will conduct risk assessments and safety planning under LVP and WA Family Violence frameworks.
  • You will receive and manage applications from consortium members or directly from individuals.
  • You will support and refer clients to services aligned with their needs and preferences.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • You have relevant experience working with individuals affected by complex trauma or family violence.
  • You are passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
  • You understand the importance of cultural sensitivity, especially when working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
  • You have strong interpersonal and communication skills, and are comfortable building rapport with a wide range of people.
  • You have case management experience or a willingness to learn, particularly in managing referrals, client documentation, and coordinating support services.
