Job Title: Portfolio Analyst

Role Summary:

  • The Portfolio Analyst will provide critical support to the portfolio management team in implementing and overseeing various portfolios, including internal cash, term deposit, enhanced cash, and fixed income.
  • This role involves providing analytical and execution support to the portfolio management team, encompassing trade execution, trade idea generation, trading systems development, and trade cost analysis.
  • The successful candidate will assist in building analytic tool sets and frameworks necessary for developing, implementing, and reviewing the portfolio investment management strategy.
  • Key responsibilities include monitoring global macro trends and developments to anticipate potential impacts on the portfolio in this financial markets-focused position.
  • Experience in fixed income investments or exposure to macroeconomic or portfolio investment and risk management at a super fund, fund manager, or research house is highly desirable.
  • The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, the ability to deliver outcomes under tight deadlines, and strong interpersonal skills to interact with a range of stakeholders effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain advanced financial models and statistical analyses to inform portfolio investment decisions.
  • Collaborate with the portfolio management team to design and implement effective trading strategies and systems.
  • Conduct thorough trade cost analysis to optimize portfolio performance and minimize costs.
  • Stay up-to-date with global market trends and economic developments to ensure proactive portfolio positioning.
  • Work closely with the investment team to develop and implement asset allocation strategies aligned with client objectives.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in financial data analysis, financial modeling, and statistical analysis.
  • Working knowledge of fixed income asset classes, including Global Debt, Credit, and Cash.
  • Strong understanding of portfolio management concepts and trade execution principles.
  • Proficiency in quantitative analysis tools such as Python, R, or other relevant programming languages.
