Investment Portfolio Specialist

We are a leading provider of financial solutions, offering tax-effective investment options since 2004.

The role involves managing mandates for government bonds, corporate bonds, and mortgage-backed securities. Tasks include constructing and maintaining diversified portfolios to meet return, duration, and risk targets.

You will compile advisory reports and make informed recommendations on new investment opportunities. Monitoring economic conditions, interpreting macroeconomic indicators, and understanding bond math are key aspects of this role.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Drive improvement of strategic asset allocation framework and align fixed income investments with life insurance liabilities.
  • Manage risk-adjusted returns, cashflows, and liability matching within asset allocation specialization.
  • Enhance or develop sections of the Investment committee process.
  • Ensure timely and accurate compliance monitoring for strategies.
  • Investigate breaches of mandate or capital restrictions.

About You

We seek a candidate with 5–10 years in investment management, preferably with insurance, defined benefit, or other liability matching exposure. A strong background in fixed income portfolio management is essential.

Tertiary qualification in Finance, Economics, Actuarial Science, or Quantitative disciplines is required. Chartered Financial Analyst/Masters (or working towards) or Actuarial training is viewed favourably. Advanced Excel skills and knowledge of information technology are also essential.
