About the Role

We are seeking an Analyst to join our Portfolio Management team. As an Analyst, you will support the day-to-day needs of the team by performing daily tasks to ensure smooth trading processes.

This includes tasks such as portfolio reconciliation, responding to corporate action events, and processing database updates. In addition, you will execute ad hoc requests from Portfolio Managers, such as portfolio characteristics analysis, index rebalancing analysis, and data requests.

You will also have the opportunity to complete long-term projects identifying possibilities for improvement in our trading processes and executing those improvements to enhance trading efficiency and ease.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform Daily Tasks: Ensure smooth trading processes by performing daily tasks such as portfolio reconciliation and responding to corporate action events.
  • Execute Ad Hoc Requests: Respond to requests from Portfolio Managers, such as portfolio characteristics analysis and index rebalancing analysis.
  • Complete Long-Term Projects: Identify opportunities for improvement in our trading processes and execute those improvements to enhance trading efficiency and ease.

Requirements

  • Philosophical Alignment: Strong philosophical alignment with our investment strategy.
  • Finance Background: Background or strong interest in finance and financial theory.
  • Quantitative Skills: Excellent quantitative problem-solving and analytic skills.
  • Intellectual Curiosity: Intellectual curiosity and ability to learn quickly.
  • Communication Skills: Solid communication and presentation skills.
  • Data Analysis: Comfort with large data sets and ability to analyze data effectively.
  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Languages: Aptitude for learning basic computer programming languages and software.
  • SQL Knowledge: Knowledge of SQL, Access, and Excel is helpful.
