Job Title: Environmental Sustainability Lead

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and developing environmental and sustainability plans across our business operations. This will involve maintaining site certification to ISO 14001, managing EPA licence requirements, and liaising with regulatory authorities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the site's Environmental Management System (EMS) certification in accordance with ISO 14001.
  • Manage the site EPA licence requirements.
  • Maintain the sites Roundtable on Sustainable Biomaterials (RSB) certification.
  • Liaise with relevant regulatory authorities on environmental matters.
  • Liaise with other stakeholders such as the community, customers, and suppliers on environmental matters.
  • Provide advice and review of Development Applications (State Significant Developments).
  • Support the business in delivering projects; environmental priorities and initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental licences/permits/approvals and legislation.
  • Continually monitor environmental compliance, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes.

Requirements:

  • Degree related to Environmental Science or Engineering.
  • Full working rights in Australia.
