About the Role

We are seeking a proactive Schools Officer - Grounds and Facilities to uphold the quality and safety of our grounds and facilities.

As the Schools Officer - Grounds and Facilities, you will play a key role in providing a safe and engaging environment for the students, staff, and school community.

You will be responsible for providing high-level grounds and facilities maintenance, including:

  • Delivering and collecting mail, parcels, and documents
  • Recording and delivering messages
  • Printing and photocopying
  • Preparing classrooms for examinations and preparing activity/assembly halls
  • Removing and relocating furniture from room to room
  • General store duties, including receipting, opening up, checking, storing, and distributing school supplies and stocks
  • Maintaining various registers
  • Stocktaking and recording/engraving of school equipment/furniture and assets

You will also assist with a range of duties, including:

  • Clearing and hosing of drains and gutters
  • Collection of waste, food, and paper on school grounds
  • Undertaking immediate action cleaning duties
  • Coordinating the removal and/or disposal of rubbish
  • Supporting with security duties, including using and maintaining the school security systems
  • Banking of school funds
  • Locking and unlocking buildings
