Electrical Design Engineer

Mission Critical Recruitment is seeking an ambitious Electrical Design Engineer to lead the design and delivery of data centre projects.

  • Leading Electrical Design: This involves creating and refining designs that align with clients' needs and project specifications.
  • Client Engagement: Engaging directly with clients to thoroughly understand their requirements. Presenting conceptual designs, gathering feedback, and making necessary adjustments to meet their expectations.
  • Internal and External Collaboration: Coordinating across design disciplines including mechanical, hydraulics, fire, security, BMS, etc., integrating the full data centre design.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Leadership experience working on data centre projects.
  • Knowledge and experience across UPS and standby generators.
  • Experience of electrical designs up to 22kV.
  • Professional or Chartered Engineer status, or on the pathway to achieving it.
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement electrical design strategies for both brownfield and greenfield data centre projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate the full data centre design.
  • Ensure designs meet client requirements and project specifications.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
