Job Title: Electrical Design Expert - Data Centre Lead
As a seasoned electrical design expert, you will take the lead in driving innovation and shaping the future of data centre design. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute your expertise to deliver high-quality engineering outcomes.
Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate the work of consultants and technical partners, ensuring that designs meet customer requirements and emerging technology trends. You will drive innovation by staying up-to-date with industry developments and applying forward-thinking solutions to electrical systems design.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading and coordinating consultant outputs to improve performance, cost, and customer-specific requirements.
Reviewing and challenging consultant outputs to ensure alignment with technical specifications, operational needs, and project milestones.
Engaging in design workshops and providing input into design standards.
Overseeing concept design reviews and ensuring continuous improvement across all phases of development.
Supporting bid and proposal teams by providing technical input for tenders and customer proposals.
Modeling electrical load distribution and evaluating capacity.
Providing risk insights around redundancy, resiliency, and operational reliability.
Participating in construction inspections and integrated systems testing (IST) to validate build quality.
Developing technical documentation including feasibility reports, scopes, and risk assessments.
What We're Looking For
To succeed in this role, you will need:
Minimum 8 years' experience in electrical engineering design or consulting, preferably in critical environments such as data centres.
Proven ability to manage technical design across full project life cycles from concept to construction to operation.
Strong technical knowledge of electrical infrastructure, including UPS systems, electrical switchgear, and PDUs.
