Job Overview

We are seeking qualified nurses and midwives to join our healthcare team in a permanent or casual capacity.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality patient care in a mix of maternity and gynaecological cases.

Our Ward

Our ward comprises 21 beds, with approximately 500 births taking place each year. We are equipped with three birth suites and a Special Care Nursery that cares for premature and unwell infants up to 32 weeks gestation.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive care to meet the identified needs of patients.
  • Conduct thorough interviews and examinations, documenting assessment findings as required.
  • Promote a safe and respectful environment, identifying actual and potential problems through discussion with patients and relevant others.
  • Assess and document anticipated needs of pregnant women and families during and following hospitalisation.
  • Perform planned nursing care, prioritising tasks and adapting to changing circumstances.
  • Routinely review results of diagnostic procedures and investigations.
  • Evaluate and document outcomes of nursing/medical interventions, reporting significant findings promptly.
Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must be registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse and/or Midwife, possessing well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.

A minimum of two years' recent clinical experience in a Maternity and/or NICU specialty is essential.
