Enhanced Maternal and Child Health Service Role
">- Job Description
As an Enhanced Maternal and Child Health Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing targeted support to families with vulnerable children. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver flexible, evidence-based services that maximize the health potential of these children and their families.
">- The Role
You will work closely with families to provide additional in-home support, focusing on strengthening parenting capacity, improving family functioning, and promoting the health and wellbeing of vulnerable children and their families.
">- Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, evidence-based practice to families experiencing early parenting difficulties through collaborative wrap-around care models.
- Empower families to make informed decisions related to their children's health and development through collaborative working with the primary carer.
- Facilitate system processes related to intake, assessment, allocation, and transfer of care for families on discharge to universal platforms where appropriate.
- Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
">- Division 1 Registered Nurse (AHPRA)
A current registration as a Division 1 Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
">- Registered Midwife (AHPRA)
A current registration as a Registered Midwife with the AHPRA.
">- Graduate Diploma or Masters in Maternal and Child Health
A Graduate Diploma or Master's degree in Maternal and Child Health, Family and Child Health, or an equivalent qualification that meets the MCH employment requirement in Victoria.
">- Previous Experience as an Enhanced Maternal and Child Health Nurse
Relevant experience as an Enhanced Maternal and Child Health Nurse, preferably in a Victorian healthcare setting.
">- Working with Children Check
A valid Working with Children Check is required for this role.
