Job Title: Obstetrician and Gynaecologist

Are you an experienced obstetrician and gynaecologist looking for a new challenge in a dynamic and growing healthcare region? We have an exciting opportunity for a Medical Specialist-Obstetrician to join our team at Grampians Health.

About the Role

This is a fixed-term full-time position with a view to extend to permanent full-time, working 38 hours per week. As a specialist obstetrician and gynaecologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to patients in our maternity and gynaecology services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide obstetric and gynaecological services to patients in our maternity and gynaecology units.
  • Participate in birth suite consultant cover, maternity antenatal clinic, and the obstetric on-call roster as rostered.
  • Supervise and teach junior medical staff in obstetrics and gynaecology.
  • Work collaboratively with midwives, general practitioners, paediatricians, anaesthetists, social workers, and other staff involved in patient care.

Requirements:

  • Registration as a medical practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Specialist training and experience in obstetrics and gynaecology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
