Achieving Technical Excellence as a Team Lead

We are seeking an experienced technical professional to lead our OT Systems team.

This role is ideal for someone who has a strong understanding of operational technology (OT) systems and architecture, as well as experience in managing high-performing technical teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical Authority: Guiding the development of OT systems, ensuring they meet the necessary standards and are reliable, available, and cyber-resilient.
  • Team Management: Overseeing the planning and deployment of OT architects, engineers, and LAN specialists to ensure seamless coordination across different functions.
  • Leadership: Managing a geographically dispersed team, balancing competing priorities, optimizing resource allocation, and driving delivery excellence across multiple states and sites.
  • Design Development: Leading the development, review, and approval of conceptual and preliminary system designs, aligned with strategic and compliance objectives.
  • Collaboration: Working with internal teams and external vendors, regulators, and partners to ensure integration readiness, operational handover, and technical compliance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with relevant certifications.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing technical teams within complex environments.
  • Expertise in engineering management and system operations across gas processing, power generation, renewables, and electricity transmission assets.
  • In-depth knowledge of OT systems, architecture, site communications networks, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • Familiarity with AEMO gas and power market systems, including dispatch and planning processes.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, project management, and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to continuous improvement and a collaborative culture.
