Job Opportunity: ICT Systems Leader

As a key leader in the Network and Server Operations team, you will oversee the delivery, integration, and sustainment of secure, high-performance ICT systems. Your goal is to support Australian Defence Force mission planning capability by ensuring high availability and performance of critical infrastructure.

The Role
  • Lead and mentor a team of skilled technicians to maintain and evolve critical infrastructure, including physical servers, networking hardware, system configurations, and software environments.
  • Provide technical leadership across system imaging, security compliance, scripting, and data support while ensuring alignment with Defence ICT accreditation standards and operational requirements.

This involves conducting performance reviews, setting team objectives, and fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture. You will also be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of physical server and networking hardware, managing the development and maintenance of system configurations, and coordinating the installation, configuration, testing, and deployment of software and security updates.

Additionally, you will provide technical leadership for resolving data support issues and ensure mission systems meet operational requirements. This role requires identifying, managing, and mitigating program and technical risks within the operations scope.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
  • Experience working in Defence ICT environments, including Defence Protected Environment (DPE) and Defence Secret Environment (DSE)
  • Technical/Admin level experience with client operating systems from MS Windows 10-11
  • MS Windows Office products
  • Software Scripting
  • Defence ICT Security Accreditation requirements
