About this Opportunity

This is a part-time position with a guaranteed minimum of 20 hours per fortnight. You will have the opportunity to work up to full time hours on a rotating roster.

We are seeking dedicated and respectful Support Workers to join our home in Sydney that provides short-term accommodation for children and young people with disabilities.

You will be working with participants aged 18 to 26 years under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Your role will involve positively engaging people with various physical and mental health disabilities, contributing to making a meaningful difference by building their capacity with daily living, confidence in accessing the community and within themselves.

Our service operates 24/7 and we require flexible staff to join our team.

Shift Times Include:

- 6am - 4pm

- 4pm - 10pm (followed by an inactive sleepover shift)

About You

- Full NSW driver's license with fully insured vehicle required.

- Ability to connect and communicate with young people living with disability.

- Competent to support participants with personal care and physical support.

- Certificate III or IV in Disability, or equivalent desirable but not essential.

- Clear and effective communication skills and ability to establish a professional relationship with participant and their families.

- Demonstrated understanding of person-centred care.

- Experience supporting participants from Aboriginal and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds would be advantageous.

- Current paid Working with Children Check and NDIS Workers Check required.

- Current First Aid Certificate required.
