Job Opportunity: Procurement Specialist.

Comprehensive experience and understanding of procurement rules are essential for this role. A 12 month contract with a possible extension is available.

The Role

A driven professional is required to join our team in an IT capacity. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, strong desire to succeed, and excellent communication skills.

The Procurement Specialist works closely with the Procurement Lead to assist in the successful delivery of procurements being undertaken by the program.

Responsibilities include:

  • Exercise commercial acumen to manage and establish ICT and other contracts
  • Draft procedural, governance, and procurement documentation
  • Provide advice and guidance on procurement and contract management to internal stakeholders
  • Perform quality assurance on procedural, governance, and procurement documentation

The role requires:

  • Comprehensive experience with and understanding of Commonwealth Procurement Rules
  • Demonstrated experience conducting complex end-to-end procurement approaches
  • Knowledge and experience in successfully managing risk
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively and navigate complex stakeholder relationships
  • Clear police check result and ability to obtain and maintain minimum Baseline Clearance

Desirable criteria include relevant qualifications and/or industry certification, such as Diploma of Government or Certificate IV in Government (Procurement and Contracting).
