**Role Overview:**

We are seeking an experienced and suitably qualified senior lawyer to provide high level leadership to the Commercial, Governance and Information Law teams.

  • Providing high level technical and strategic legal advice on complex commercial law matters, including advising on procurement, tendering, contract drafting and negotiation, contract management, property and construction, intellectual property law and commercial disputes.
  • Responsibility for compliance with privacy and data integrity obligations under relevant laws, including conducting privacy impact assessments, handling privacy complaints, and managing data breaches,
  • Governance matters, and drafting of governance instruments including Commissioner's Orders, National Guidelines, Better Practice Guides, authorisations and delegations

You will represent the organization in complex negotiations and meetings with other parties or their representatives in relation to commercial matters. You will also build and maintain relationships with stakeholders within the organization and externally, including with external legal service providers.
