About the Role
">We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Engineer to join our busy workspace support team. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure clinicians and executives remain productive across multiple hospital sites.
">You will work closely with your colleagues to steady BAU, clear aged tickets, and deliver one small but visible uplift before handover.
">The successful candidate will own incidents and requests to SLA using ITIL practice for incident, problem, change, and knowledge management.
">Key responsibilities include building, configuring, upgrading, and decommissioning Windows endpoints to SOE/MOE standards.
">You will also administer Intune or MECM for enrolment, policy, and application deployment.
">Support for VIPs and senior leaders requires calm, proactive communication.
">Maintenance of printers, desktop telephony, and meeting rooms is essential.
">Tidy ticket maintenance, accurate asset records, and short, reusable knowledge articles are also crucial tasks.
">You may assist with relocations and small rollouts while keeping BAU green.
">Work safely in clinical areas and follow site access and security rules.
">Success Metrics in Six Weeks
">P1/P2 SLA compliance back on target for your sites and the aged queue materially reduced.
">Three to five concise knowledge articles published for repeat issues.
">One contained improvement shipped (for example, print queue clean-up, Intune compliance uplift for a device cohort, or a refreshed SOE app set for a ward).
">Clear handover notes so the team can sustain momentum.
">Requirements
">Senior desktop support experience in large or multi-site environments is required.
">Strong Windows endpoint skills, SOE/MOE, and lifecycle management are essential.
">Hands-on Intune or MECM, plus AD/Entra ID and Microsoft 365 admin skills are necessary.
">ServiceNow (or similar) with disciplined ticket and stakeholder comms is expected.
">Confidence with boardrooms/exec support, AV, and Teams Rooms is also required.
">Solid network basics (DNS, DHCP) and a current driver's license for site travel are necessary.
">Nice to Have
">Hospital or government experience would be beneficial.
">Jamf or mixed Windows/Mac fleet exposure could be advantageous.
">Packaging experience and change approvals in an SOE environment would be nice.
">Compliance and Safety
