
Healthcare Provider Specialist

The primary goal of this role is to provide medical services to applicants for the U.S. Armed Forces. This involves conducting medical evaluations, reviewing applicant histories and medical records, and analyzing test results to ensure that only qualified individuals join the military.
As a civilian physician, you will play a vital role in upholding the medical standards established by Congress and the Military Services. You will support the enlistment process by guiding applicants through various stages, including aptitude testing, security screenings, and administrative processing.
This position requires a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring the readiness of the U.S. Military. You will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve this goal.
Required Skills and Qualifications:To be successful in this role, you must possess a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree from an accredited medical school in the United States or Canada. You should also have completion of an accredited U.S. residency program in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, or Emergency Medicine.
Additionally, you must hold board certification in a U.S.-accredited body in one of the above-mentioned specialties. Two years of clinical primary care, urgent care, or emergency medicine experience within the last three years is also required.
Active State Medical License and Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification are also necessary.
Benefits:This position offers a range of benefits, including serving during standard USMEPCOM hours, typically 0600–1700, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend duty in support of the mission. Shifts range between 5 and 10 consecutive hours within the MEPS operating schedule.
Duty schedules are provided 30 days in advance to support clarity and work-life balance. Enjoy all 11 Federal Holidays off while contributing to a mission that directly supports our Armed Forces.
