About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Parliamentary Security Officer. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to visitors and building occupants, while maintaining the highest level of security and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service to visitors and building occupants
  • Perform front-line and operational security functions, including mobile patrols, screening, and incident response
  • Communicate effectively to de-escalate situations and provide professional advice and services to all Senators and Members
  • Work closely with other departments within the building, particularly the Australian Federal Police
  • Record and report security incidents
Requirements
  • Australian citizenship
  • Negative Vetting 1 security clearance
  • Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check
  • Pre-employment medical assessment and declaration of physical and/or medical fitness
