Financial Crime Risk Analyst Position
About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled Financial Crime Risk Analyst to join our team for a 6-month+ contract. As an essential member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective risk detection systems and data environments.
Your primary goal will be to contribute to process and system documentation updates, design technical data mappings, and participate in data governance. You will also produce data analytics reports related to financial crime risk and collaborate with cross-functional teams on prevention methods.
Apart from these core responsibilities, you will need to stay up-to-date with regulatory obligations and internal policies. You will be working closely with operational and technology teams across our organization to ensure seamless integration.
Key Responsibilities- Support development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of Financial Crime Risk detection systems and data environment.
- Contribute to process and system documentation updates.
- Design technical data mappings, including transformation rules.
- Participate in data governance, business rule definition, and documentation.
- Produce data analytics reports related to Financial Crime Risk, including exploratory analytics and management reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial crime prevention methods.
- 8+ years overall experience, with 4+ years in AML and Fincrime testing.
- Proficiency in programming languages and analytics tools (SQL, R, Python, Power BI); SQL skills preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently or in teams.
- Australian Banking experience.
- Lending and Test Automation experience.
- Able to have full working rights in Australia.
