About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Spiritual Care Coordinator to provide emotional support and leadership to our clients, their families, and team members. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about enhancing wellbeing and quality of life.

This role will be based in Independent Living Units at Hammondville, where you will work closely with residents and their loved ones to identify and address their spiritual and emotional needs.

As a Spiritual Care Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

  • Assessing client/family's spiritual and emotional needs, developing care plans to ensure acknowledged and documented needs.
  • Providing spiritual and emotional support to clients and families through regular visits, phone calls, and other forms of communication.
  • Liaising with religious leaders to coordinate spiritual support and ensure that our residents' needs are met.
  • Training team members in pastoral care, including boundaries, grief, loss, faith, and hope.
  • Extending team skills to meet the spiritual needs of our clients.
  • Participating in staff meetings, training events, and expos to promote pastoral care opportunities.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of people living with life-limiting illness, including dementia, and carer journeys.
  • A personal and active Christian faith and church involvement.
  • Theological/Pastoral Care qualifications and experience.
  • Demonstrated capacity to pastorally care for those in need.
  • Highly developed communication skills, including listening, compassion, and empathy.
  • Experience leading and supporting a team.
