Classification: Registered Nurse Grade 2 YP3 - YP9
Hourly Salary (excluding superannuation): $48.27
Hours per fortnight: Up to 80 (multiple roles available)
Employment Type: Ongoing, Part Time or Full Time
Other Requirements: COVID-19 Vaccination (3 doses)

The Short Stay Observational Unit (SSOU) caters to approximately 8,000 patients annually, supported by a dedicated team of professionals, including emergency medicine specialists, nurses, and administrative staff. The SSOU enhances patient flow through the Emergency Department by delivering targeted care for patients needing short-term hospitalization (more than 4 hours but less than 24 hours) with a clear discharge pathway.

The Assessment and Treatment Unit (ATU) is a mixed medical/surgical facility that accommodates patients requiring a maximum stay of 72 hours. The primary patient demographic includes those needing cardiac care, both medical and surgical. Patients receive care from their respective inpatient specialty teams and follow a defined discharge pathway. The unit also features a three-bed complex care area.

The Clinical Operations Division encompasses acute care, allied health, cancer, and mental health services. We offer a comprehensive range of general medical, surgical, and specialty services, including but not limited to Oncology, Cardiology, Renal, Emergency, Women's and Children's Health, Critical Care, Specialist Clinics, Cancer Clinics, and Mental Health Services.
