Contract Administrator Role

This is a senior-level position that requires exceptional contract administration skills. The role involves working with a reputable builder based in Sydney's upper North shore who deliver high-quality luxury home and boutique apartment projects.

The company prioritizes delivering exceptional results for clients, ensuring smooth project execution. As a Contract Administrator, you will be responsible for the preparation, review, and management of contracts, variations, and progress claims.

You will also liaise with subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution. Additionally, you will assist with procurement, letting trade packages, and contract negotiations. Furthermore, you will manage RFIs, EOTs, and project documentation. Close collaboration with the Project Manager is essential to track budgets and costs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation, Review, and Management of Contracts: Prepare, review, and manage contracts, variations, and progress claims to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Liaison with Stakeholders: Liaise with subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution and maintain effective communication channels.
  • Procurement and Contract Negotiations: Assist with procurement, letting trade packages, and contract negotiations to secure the best possible outcomes for the client.
  • Project Documentation: Manage RFIs, EOTs, and project documentation to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Budgeting and Cost Control: Collaborate closely with the Project Manager to track budgets and costs, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years' experience as a Contract Administrator in commercial construction.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts and their application.
  • Experience working on apartment or luxury home projects.
  • A sharp eye for detail, numbers, and risk management.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
