Job Description

We are seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Health Promotion Officer. The successful candidate will work primarily in the Health & Wellbeing stream contributing to evidence-based and/or innovative programs of work for population health priorities.

This position involves working on projects from the Early Years & Ageing stream as required, with the primary goal of improving the health of people living in south western Sydney.

The officer will be responsible for delivering all stages of planning, implementation, evaluation, reporting and sustainability of programs relating to physical and food environments that support health and programs that promote healthy eating, active living and healthy weight in adults.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivering all stages of planning, implementation, evaluation, reporting and sustainability of such programs.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in health or a related field and demonstrated knowledge and experience in health promotion planning, implementation, evaluation and dissemination particularly relating to physical and food environments that support health and programs that promote healthy eating, active living and healthy weight in adults.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain partnerships with other staff and government, non-government and community organisations.
  • Effective organisational, problem solving and team skills including the ability to work on a variety of projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
  • Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2).
