Job Title: National Technical Training Director, Tax

Are you an experienced chartered accountant looking for a rewarding career development pathway away from client-facing work?

This role is ideal for someone with comparable technical and training experience who is interested in leveraging their interest and experience in the Learning and Development (L&D) space.

As a National Technical Training Director, you will oversee the creation, delivery, and continuous optimization of technical training to our Tax team nationally. This includes managing national technical training schedules, coordinating with senior leaders, and identifying, creating, and delivering timely and relevant tax technical thought leadership materials.

You will also have the opportunity to lead national training projects, prepare ad hoc project reports, and conduct gap analyses to align with technical competencies.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate delivery of timely and relevant training programs addressing Tax technical training needs by level and market
  • Identify, create, and deliver timely and relevant Tax technical thought leadership materials to internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage national technical training schedule and L&D budget ensuring training is appropriately delivered and received by relevant stakeholders
  • Curate and manage knowledge library to ensure easy access to contemporary training tools by Tax team members
  • Lead national training projects as required preparing ad hoc project / business initiative reports and status updates

The ideal candidate will have significant client-facing tax experience (>5 years postgraduate experience), working knowledge of the Australian taxation regime, and experience (or demonstrated interest in) managing a holistic technical development program.
