
National Technical Training Director

A senior leadership role has become available for an experienced professional to oversee the creation, delivery and continuous optimization of technical training programs across our Tax team nationally.
This newly created dual-role position requires a unique individual who can report to the National Tax Quality and Excellence Lead Partner to manage national technical training schedules, L&D budgets and coordinate delivery of timely and relevant training programs addressing Tax technical training needs by level and market.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for curating and managing knowledge libraries, leading national training projects, preparing project reports and status updates, and collaborating with senior leaders and subject matter experts to identify, create and deliver Tax technical thought leadership materials to internal and external stakeholders.

Please note that this role may involve some interstate travel to other offices across Australia up to 2 times per office a year.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage national technical training schedule and L&D Budget, ensuring training is appropriately delivered and received by relevant stakeholders
- Curate and manage knowledge library to ensure easy access to contemporary training tools by Tax team members
- Lead national training projects as required, preparing ad hoc project / business initiative reports and status updates
- Collaborate with senior leaders and subject matter experts to coordinate identification, creation and delivery of timely and relevant Tax technical thought leadership materials
Requirements
A qualified chartered accountant with significant client-facing tax experience (>5 years postgraduate experience), including working knowledge of the Australian taxation regime.
Experience (or demonstrated interest in) managing a holistic technical development program.
Ability to critically analyse technical materials and programs and conduct gap analyses to align with technical competencies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to liaise with key stakeholders on training needs.
