The role of an Environmental Health Specialist is to contribute to the improvement of environmental health and community wellbeing.
Job ResponsibilitiesThis position entails assisting in ensuring regulatory compliance, carrying out inspections at various locations, responding to inquiries, coordinating and issuing Penalty Infringement Notices when necessary, and assessing Development Applications to ensure requirements of regulations.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor of Natural Science (Environmental Health) or equivalent qualification
- A current Class C Drivers Licence
- Experience in enforcement and/or litigation of environmental health legislation
- Demonstrated experience in Local Councils is preferred
