Job Description:

A Public Health Physician is sought to join the Public Health Unit in Liverpool NSW. The successful candidate will provide public health medicine expertise and clinical advice to support health protection activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide evidence-based clinical, public health and program advice to support health protection activities
  • Lead the implementation of these activities, including identifying, monitoring, and investigating significant public health risks and coordinating responses

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Current medical practitioner registered with the Medical Board of Australia
  • Fellow of the Australasian Faculty of Public Health Medicine (AFPHM) or other relevant specialist recognition as provided under the Health Insurance Act 1973
  • Demonstrated understanding of public health medicine principles and ability to practice to a high standard with evidence-based practice
