**Job Title:** Public Health Medicine Trainee

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Public Health Medicine Trainee. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the protection of public health.

**Job Description:

- As a Public Health Medicine Trainee, you will be responsible for achieving all competencies leading to a Fellowship of the Australasian Faculty of Public Health Medicine (AFPHM).

- You will have a particular focus on rural, Aboriginal and One Health issues in Public Health Medicine.

- You will work in a highly competent multi-disciplinary team to contribute to protecting the health of the population of Hunter New England.

- You will be supported by experienced public health physicians who will mentor and support you within this position.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

- Enrolled as an Advanced Trainee in the Australasian Faculty of Public Health Medicine Advanced Training Program OR an Overseas Trained Physician undertaking Specialist Assessment with the AFPHM and requires a position to complete.

- MBBS or equivalent, current general registration with the Medical Board of Australia.

- Eligibility to drive in NSW.

- At least 3 years of medical experience since graduating and completed or enrolled in an MPH including the faculty's core discipline areas: Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Health Protection, Health Promotion, Health Policy, Planning and Management.

- Demonstrated interest in elements core to public health practice, particularly Rural, One Health and Aboriginal priorities of Hunter New England.
