Role Overview

Spearheading environmental sustainability and contributing to a greener, more circular world requires unwavering dedication and expertise. As a Waste & Circularity Expert, you will play a pivotal role in shaping a commitment to respecting nature and achieving Net Zero emissions.

  • Acting as Contract Holder, effectively managing Australian Waste Management contracts.
  • Steering and influencing Contract Management Teams on waste management components within other contracts.
  • Implementing strategies aligned with Respecting Nature and Achieving Net Zero Emissions ambitions, supported by stakeholders for positive environmental outcomes.
  • Supporting CO2 ambitions and target reductions for all 3 emission scopes.
  • Collaborating in designing and implementing a framework and metrics for identifying supply chain opportunities to reduce waste, develop circularity opportunities, and measure impact.
  • Influencing suppliers through category and frontline teams to improve waste management practices and compliance.
  • Analysing waste issues to develop innovative solutions for effective environmental outcomes and contribute to our strategy as a credible, accountable partner.

**Key Objectives**

  1. To drive sustainable development and deliver reduction and abatement opportunities.
  2. To steer contract management teams towards achieving Net Zero emissions.
  3. To implement strategies for positive environmental outcomes.
  4. To support CO2 ambitions and target reductions.
  5. To collaborate in designing frameworks for identifying supply chain opportunities.

**Requirements**

  • Experienced Contract Holder.
  • Track record of commercial or sustainable development delivery.
  • Knowledge and/or experience in implementing new legislation requiring stakeholder influence.
  • Continuous Improvement Practitioner desirable.
  • Strong contract management skills.
  • Experience managing cross-business stakeholders and multiple agendas.
  • Passion for sustainable development and ability to articulate how sustainability creates shared value through supply chains.
