Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Sustainability Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative programs to reduce waste, increase recycling, and promote sustainable practices across the state.

Main Responsibilities
  • Design and implement effective strategies to enhance recycling rates, minimize litter, and maximize economic opportunities through partnerships with councils, community groups, and industry stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with key partners to drive the implementation of Queensland's Waste Strategy, ensuring alignment with environmental goals and objectives.
  • Develop and deliver behavior change programs, research projects, and expert advice to inform decision-making and promote environmentally friendly practices.
  • Manage contracts, track program milestones, and prepare reports to support data-driven decision-making.
