
Aboriginal Homelessness Reform Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Policy Officer to join our team and contribute to the development of effective policies that address Aboriginal homelessness reform in Victoria.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to work on high-level policy, advocacy, and secretariat support initiatives that impact the lives of Aboriginal people.
Main Responsibilities:- Provide expert knowledge and lived experience of Victorian Aboriginal societies and cultures to inform policy decisions.
- Analyze and develop policy frameworks to drive systemic change and influence public policy.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including ACCOs and TOs, to build relationships and advance policy objectives.
- Develop strategic advocacy initiatives that promote the interests of Aboriginal communities.
- Expertise in policy analysis, development, and implementation.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
- High-level interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated understanding of social, economic, and political factors affecting housing and homelessness.
- Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander heritage.
- Relevant qualifications and experience in policy, advocacy, or a related field.
