Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Electrician to join our maintenance team in a dynamic and growing industry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the availability, reliability, and performance of heavy mining equipment. This includes carrying out preventative maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and performing repairs as required.

The role requires strong knowledge of electrical systems and equipment, as well as excellent problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the mining or heavy industrial sector.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform routine maintenance tasks on heavy mining equipment, including inspections, servicing, and adjustments.
  2. Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults, using diagnostic techniques and tools as required.
  3. Work with the maintenance team to ensure all equipment is properly maintained and available for use.
  4. Conduct regular safety checks and report any hazards or incidents to the relevant authorities.
  5. Collaborate with other teams to ensure effective communication and coordination.
Requirements
  • QLD Electrical License and relevant Electrical Trade Certification
  • A Manual C-Class Australian Driver's License
  • Experience and knowledge in PLC controlled equipment and systems
  • HV Switching qualification is desirable
  • Additional tickets are desirable: Elevated Work Platform (EWP), Forklift, Rigging and Dogging, Confined Space and Working at Heights
