Heavy Equipment Maintenance Specialist

The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong understanding of electrical systems and experience working with large mobile mining equipment.

This role involves conducting diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on the electrical systems of heavy machinery in the field. You will work collaboratively with other maintenance teams to perform scheduled shutdown works efficiently.

To succeed in this position, you will need:

  • A trade qualification in automotive electrical technology or an equivalent.
  • Experience working on large-scale excavators and drills.
  • The ability to use diagnostic tools and software to identify issues.
  • Previous field service experience.
  • A strong safety focus and ability to work well in a team.

We are seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated individual who is able to work autonomously and manage on-site set-up and tooling requirements.

About the Role:

  • Conduct diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on electrical systems of heavy mining equipment.
  • Work collaboratively with maintenance teams to perform scheduled shutdown works efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical faults.
  • Manage on-site set-up and tooling requirements.

About You:

  • Trade qualified auto electrician with certificate III in automotive electrical technology.
  • Experience working on large mobile mining equipment.
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools and software.
  • Previous field service experience.
  • Strong safety focus and teamwork skills.
