Highly Skilled Technical Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Technical Support Engineer to join our dynamic Software Support team. As a key member of the Pacific Zone ANZ, you will be responsible for ensuring continued smooth operations for our customers, troubleshooting and diagnosing faults across SCADA verticals and products.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve complex software issues; propose workarounds for customers.
- Accurately document activities and findings in the case management system.
- Contribute to digital self-help materials to promote faster problem resolution and build internal knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with colleagues in other support centres and departments.
- Maintain regular, empathetic communication while resolving technical issues.
- Continuously learn and actively contribute to the team and customers.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience in Application Support within an ASX top 100 business, supporting mainstream software applications and a range of customers.
- Familiarity with software architecture, software unit testing, and other aspects of the SDLC.
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering or Computer Science.
- Understanding of software and automation hardware communications and setup.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with AVEVA System Platform and Plant SCADA or GEO SCADA.
- Understanding of Windows OS, networking concepts and security.
- Knowledge of Windows tools and commands for diagnosing and troubleshooting software.
- Experience integrating hardware and software.
