About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Catering Attendant to join our team at Brisbane Airport International Flight Catering. As a Catering Attendant, you will play a vital role in preparing and delivering high-quality meals to our airline customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Presentation: Prepare and present meals to the highest standards, ensuring that all elements meet our visual guides.
  • Stock Management: Stock airline carts with dry store items, including equipment, packaged snacks, and beverages.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Load and unload wash lines, ensuring that all cutlery, crockery, and glassware are in perfect condition.
  • Food Safety and Hygiene: Maintain compliance with food safety and HACCP guidelines, adhering to hygiene standards and cleaning schedules.
  • Team Collaboration: Communicate and coordinate with team members to ensure delivery timelines are met.
Requirements
  • Sound Numerical Skills: Possess sound numerical skills to manage inventory and stock levels.
  • Effective Communication: Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with the team.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for prolonged periods, move, and lift items as required.
  • Availability: Availability to work overnight shifts, including 3AM starts, and transition to 5AM starts.
  • Neat and Tidy Presentation: Maintain a neat and tidy appearance, adhering to our company's standards.
  • Food Hygiene Knowledge: Sound knowledge of food hygiene and HACCP principles (desired but not essential).
  • Transportation: Possess a reliable means of transportation to and from work.
  • Criminal History Check: Obtain a clear National Police Check as required by the Aviation Services industry.
  • Availability to Work: Availability to work 38 hours per week, as this role is a full-time permanent position.
