Job Title: Desktop and ICT Support Specialist

This role is part of a high-performing team within the Department of Industry, Science and Resources.

The successful candidate will provide exceptional technical support to staff across the department and Ministerial Offices.

  • Provision of Level 2 ICT support via phone, email, instant messaging or onsite visits.
  • Purchase and management of ICT equipment for department staff, including accurate record-keeping of assets.
  • Technical consultation and assistance with video conferencing and digital collaboration services.
  • Monitoring and prioritization of ICT tasks and incidents to meet service level agreements.
  • Continuous improvement through knowledge base articles.
Key Skills and Qualifications

An NV1 security clearance is required; some positions may need a higher level clearance. Candidates must obtain and maintain clearance at the required level.

Australian Citizenship is mandatory for APS employment.

About This Role

This role involves working in an open-plan office environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, be able to communicate complex concepts clearly, and possess a strong focus on client service.
