Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Desktop and Executive ICT Support. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to make a meaningful contribution to our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing level 2 ICT support to department staff, managing ICT equipment, and collaborating with enablement teams. They will also supervise and coach junior staff, provide high-level relationship management, and work with the leadership team to identify areas for improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Support: Provide technical assistance and consultation for video conferencing and digital collaboration services.
  • Ticket Management: Monitor and prioritize ICT tasks and incidents to meet service level agreements.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Produce and maintain knowledge base articles on operational and technical practices.
Leadership Role
  • Supervision: Supervise and coach junior staff within the team, including technical upskilling.
  • Relationship Management: Provide high-level relationship management with the Executive and Ministerial Offices.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with the leadership team to identify areas to improve customer experiences.
Project Lead and Triage
  • Project Management: Lead Executive ICT projects, triage incidents, manage escalations, and ensure reliable video conferencing services.
  • Communication: Communicate technical ICT concepts clearly to end-users with a strong client-service focus.
  • Documentation: Develop and maintain ICT documentation to promote team learning and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
  • Security Clearance: An NV1 security clearance is required.
  • Citizenship: Australian Citizenship is required to be eligible for employment in the APS and the department.
Working Conditions
  • Flexibility: The role may require overtime and 24/7 on-call duties, as well as interstate travel.
  • Manual Handling: Roles may include manual handling tasks moving ICT hardware.
