**Job Overview:**

The Principal Building Inspector plays a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with building legislation and resolving residential building disputes.

As a member of the regulatory division, you will work collaboratively across various functions and projects to deliver better regulation in NSW.

You will be responsible for managing a team of Building Inspectors, undertaking complex technical building investigations, and providing expert advice to industry and government.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing strategies to resolve building disputes and enhance compliance with legislative requirements.
  • Providing independent expert building advice and opinions to industry, community, and stakeholders.
  • Reporting on industry trends and concerns to government agencies.

Key Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in conducting complex dispute resolution and inspection activities.
  • Ability to manage a diverse range of issues and exercise sound judgement.
  • Holding a NSW Drivers License and Builders License or Qualified Supervisor Certificate is essential.
