Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Policy Review Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Internal Reviews group, you will play a critical role in managing complex child death and serious injury reviews under the Child Protection Act 1999.

Your primary responsibility will be to gather and analyze extensive information from multiple sources, identifying matters that require further exploration. You will work closely with other team members and school/regional staff to ensure reviews are completed within legislated timeframes and in line with our internal review guidelines.

In this role, you will draft detailed case chronologies, internal review reports, and responses to requests. You will also analyze information from reviews to draw out system learnings across reviews. Effective communication, collaboration, and analytical skills are essential for success in this position.

About The Team

The Internal Reviews team is responsible for state-wide management of child death and serious injuries reviews under the Child Protection Act 1999. We respond to information requests from the Child Death Review Board, State Coroner, and other government agencies.

Key Responsibilities Include
