Ottelia, a renowned restaurant in the Limestone Coast, seeks an exceptional individual to fill the role of Sous Chef. Located midway between Adelaide and Melbourne, Coonawarra offers an unparalleled wine region experience.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in leading a small yet effective team, while contributing creatively to the Daily Menu inspired by local produce and reducing kitchen waste.
This is a unique opportunity to work in a relaxed yet exciting regional dining environment, championing local ingredients and utilizing produce from the kitchen garden. The Daily Menu is a constantly evolving reflection of the seasons and abundance of the Limestone Coast's produce, complemented by Ottelia wines and ethos.
We offer a competitive salary, estimated at AU$60,000 per annum, considering the location and industry standards. The position involves working 9-5 hours, with occasional evening functions, allowing for a good work-life balance.
A current driver's license and access to a vehicle are essential requirements, as you will be expected to commute daily. Please note that we cannot offer sponsorship, and applicants must be currently residing in Australia.
