Job Opportunity

Our team is seeking a skilled engineer to contribute to the design, certification and delivery of utility infrastructure projects. Your expertise will be essential in executing diverse utility and infrastructure projects across NSW and Australia, supporting key initiatives with utilities and councils.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver utility projects according to utility-specific standards and regulations.
  • Manage the end-to-end design process, including site investigations, concept design and detailed design.
  • Prepare and lodge essential documentation, including technical reports and safety assessments.
  • Utilise software tools to develop and optimise designs for utility applications.
  • Conduct voltage drop calculations, earthing designs and constructability assessments to meet compliance requirements.
  • Engage with stakeholders, utilities and councils to coordinate approvals and certification processes.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers while fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, representing our company with professionalism and technical expertise.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Hold a minimum Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
  • Be a member of Engineers Australia or eligible to apply.
  • Have 3-5 years of design experience with a strong understanding of project management principles.
  • Familiarity with utility-specific standards and procedures, including industry protocols and guidelines.
  • Proficiency in software tools and technical documentation for electrical design.
  • Strong knowledge of design safety reports, voltage drop calculations and compliance documentation.
  • Capability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and produce high-quality deliverables.
  • Effective communication skills to engage with internal teams, utilities and external stakeholders.
  • A history of delivering successful projects in the utilities and building services sector.
