Strategic Engineering Leader Role

Duties:

  • Operate in a market-facing and design delivery focused role;
  • Maintain ongoing communication and highly effective professional relationships with clients;
  • Proactively determine, manage, monitor and control project scope;
  • Lead work across the design, delivery and tender phases for multi-year/packaged projects;
  • Evaluate timeliness and quality of delivery against technical, commercial and regulatory standards – and in alignment with schedules and budgets;
  • Manage stakeholder relationships, both internally and externally;
  • Provide sound technical/delivery guidance for the team;
  • Cultivate own continual professional development and mentor, train and develop junior engineers;
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and a national team in a multidisciplinary engineering setting;
  • Support/lead in proposal preparation

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in providing key technical expertise across a range of high profile projects as the project leader within the Property & Buildings sector on large or complex projects
  • Able to effectively deliver multiple, concurrent projects ranging in scale and sector;
  • Technical expertise in all-round structural engineering design including post-tensioned concrete;
  • Typically 12 to 15+ years' industry experience;
  • Well-developed client facing, business development and account/relationship management skills;
  • The ability to lead, train and mentor junior engineers across technical and project delivery aspects.
