About the Role

This dynamic position involves leading a team of healthcare professionals, providing expert clinical opinion on a wide range of Rheumatology problems, and participating in Consultant rota for ward referrals, advice, and guidance during working hours.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for:

  • Managing outpatient clinics and specialist clinics;
  • SUPPORTING care of inpatients under other medical teams;
  • Clinical and administrative responsibilities as required;
  • Teaching and training of junior staff and undergraduates;
  • Participating in Clinical Governance/Audit/Quality Improvement.
Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must have:

  • Full GMC Registration with License to practice;
  • MRCP (UK);
  • Specialist accreditation or within 6 months of attaining CCT;
  • Clinical training and experience equivalent to that required for gaining UK CCST in Rheumatology;
  • Ability to offer expert clinical opinion on a wide range of Rheumatology problems.
