We are inviting applications for a full-time Lead Consultant in Rheumatology role. This is an exceptional opportunity to join our team and make a significant impact.
This challenging position requires the successful candidate to have completed CCT or equivalent and be on the Specialist Register.
About the RoleThis dynamic position involves leading a team of healthcare professionals, providing expert clinical opinion on a wide range of Rheumatology problems, and participating in Consultant rota for ward referrals, advice, and guidance during working hours.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for:
- Managing outpatient clinics and specialist clinics;
- SUPPORTING care of inpatients under other medical teams;
- Clinical and administrative responsibilities as required;
- Teaching and training of junior staff and undergraduates;
- Participating in Clinical Governance/Audit/Quality Improvement.
To be considered for this position, applicants must have:
- Full GMC Registration with License to practice;
- MRCP (UK);
- Specialist accreditation or within 6 months of attaining CCT;
- Clinical training and experience equivalent to that required for gaining UK CCST in Rheumatology;
- Ability to offer expert clinical opinion on a wide range of Rheumatology problems.
