About the Role
">We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Student Welfare Officer to join our team at St Mary's Primary School in Young, NSW. As a key member of our school community, you will play a vital role in supporting students' emotional, social, and mental well-being.
With a focus on building strong relationships with students, teachers, parents, and external agencies, you will provide guidance and support to ensure each student receives the care they need to thrive. Your proactive approach and empathetic nature will help students navigate personal challenges and succeed academically.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to students facing personal challenges
- Collaborate with teachers and external agencies to develop effective strategies for student success
- Facilitate a safe and inclusive school environment that promotes social-emotional learning
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with parents and guardians
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field (e.g., youth work, pastoral care)
- A relevant qualification (Certificate IV or higher) in a related field
- Working with Children's Check (WWCC) registration
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
