Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Education Professional to join our team as a Home School Liaison Officer. This role is responsible for working with schools and parents to maintain student attendance and implement attendance initiatives.

About the Role:

This temporary position is available for three years, and you will be required to attend a training program in Sydney. You will work closely with schools, students, parents, and agencies to develop and implement effective attendance strategies.

You will need to have strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities. A teaching qualification and recent experience in schools are essential requirements for this role.

The successful candidate will receive a salary package valued at up to $134,570 per year, including base salary ranging from $75,791 to $120,322, plus leave loading and employer's contribution to superannuation.

Benefits:

  • Temporary appointment for three years
  • Able to travel between worksites
  • Salary as for teachers, plus HSLO allowance

Requirements:

  • Teaching qualifications and recent successful experience in schools
  • Demonstrated experience in student welfare, including implementation of attendance policy and procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to liaise with schools, students, parents, and agencies
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a range of computer applications, including databases and spreadsheets
  • Demonstrated capacity to work as part of a team to implement attendance initiatives

Working Conditions:

The appointee will be required to be vaccinated as outlined by the Department of Education. The successful candidate will also be required to confirm vaccination status prior to their appointment being finalized.
