About the Role

Halcyon Knights is seeking a highly skilled Assets and Facilities Officer to join a state government department in Adelaide CBD for a 03 month contract with a possibility of extension. This role provides high-level support and project management for the coordination and implementation of department's Asset Management strategic directions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and monitor asset maintenance plans, ensuring property information is up-to-date within departmental and government databases.
  • Maintain property information for department's owned and leased sites to meet departmental and whole-of-government reporting requirements.
  • Foster effective relationships with the department's business divisions, contractors, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality accommodation and facilities projects.
  • Validate and process property and facilities accounts for timely payment.
  • Collaborate with the Assets team to review and implement site security plans and measures.
  • Assist with accommodation and property management services, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Monitor budgets and provide information to assist with financial analysis and projections.
  • Respond to asset and accommodation inquiries promptly, ensuring adequate departmental support.
  • Deliver property and accommodation projects to support the department's business outcomes.
  • Coordinate asset maintenance contracts and support site managers in effectively managing facilities.

About You

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the property and facilities management industry and relevant government policy. They will possess project management, consultation, and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to maintain accurate property information and databases. Strong financial monitoring and budget management skills are also essential.

Requirements:

  • Valid police clearance or willingness to obtain one immediately.
  • Residency in SA.
