Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Specialist to join our team at the Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS). The successful candidate will be responsible for providing secondary level mental health interventions to children and families, including culturally appropriate services.
The role involves developing and supporting collaborative care partnerships with service providers, collecting and reviewing client and service outcome data, and participating in activities to improve client outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in child and youth mental health, excellent assessment and treatment skills, and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
The CYMHS is an integrated secondary level mental health service for emerging complexity for the 0-12 year age group. We provide evidence-based individual and group interventions and supports for mild to moderate emotional, behavioural, social, relational, and developmental challenges.
The successful applicant will be required to meet the essential criteria, including satisfactory completion of an approved allied health professional tertiary qualification/program of study and registered with the relevant National Board or, in the case of self-regulated allied health professions, full membership/eligible for membership with the relevant professional association.
