We are seeking a highly skilled Child and Family Mental Health Specialist to join our team at the Department of Health.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical services to children and families, including assessments, care planning and delivery of individual and group secondary level mental health interventions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the establishment of the CYMHS North Head to Health Kids Tasmania service
  • Undertaking assessments and care planning for clients with complex mental health needs
  • Developing collaborative care partnerships with primary health, child health and parenting services
  • Collecting and reviewing client and service outcome data to improve client outcomes

A strong understanding of child and family mental health issues and experience in working with diverse populations is essential. The ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team and to communicate effectively with clients and their families is also critical.
