Care Worker Position for Aged Community Support

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Worker to join our team in the Port Macquarie area. As a Care Worker with KinCare, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of older individuals, enabling them to live independently at home for longer.

About the Role:

  • Provide domestic assistance, including cleaning and ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment for our customers.
  • Assist with meal preparation and shopping, promoting healthy eating habits and independence.
  • Offer social support and transport to lifestyle activities, fostering connections and a sense of community.
  • Deliver personal care services, including assisting with daily routines, medication management, and mobility support.
  • Provide respite and emotional support, acknowledging the importance of self-care and mental well-being.
  • Transport customers to appointments, ensuring timely access to essential healthcare services.

Requirements:

  • Experience of 6 months or more in a similar role, including experience with personal care.
  • A current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle – travel is part of the role.
  • Availability to work at least 3 days - Monday to Friday, with no night or weekend work.
  • Comfortable working independently and finding solutions to everyday problems, knowing when to ask your Manager for help.

Salary: Our award rate is $29.51 per hour, plus Super, Paid KM's, and a Phone Allowance.
